Scenario 06 (Filtering) is a collaboration with architect and artist Spazio Cura. The performance is developed to activate three objects by Spazio Cura: an outdoor water filter, a two-meter-long metal sponge, and 20 birdbaths. The piece was performed in a newly constructed and still empty residential complex, where water from the river Spree was transported and filtered through all the objects, finally ending up in the 20 birdbaths installed on the outside of the building. The choreography is inspired by ant colonies, where each unit of the colony has a fixed role, here translated into a collaboration of water transportation from the river through the building via the objects. All actions are repeated in a circular manner and reversed backward until the performers reached back to their starting point, only to reset and repeat until all bird baths were filled with water (4 hours).
