The exhibition GHOSTS is a large-scale installation based on the former residents of the Danish mansion Gammel Holtegaard, which now houses a museum. The Breda family, a mother, and two sisters, lived there in isolation until the end of their lives. The exhibition interweaves Kongstad's works with texts by writer Ida Mare Hede and fragments from the family's life including a selection of paintings by the youngest sister Ebba Breda (1893-1950). The exhibition brings the ghosts of Gammel Holtegaardto to life, in a mix of nostalgia, corsets, twincore-to-the-heart girls, claustrophobia, horse blinders, wilting flowers, and protective plastic curtains extending as far as the eye reaches
