Geist is a site-specific, ever-changing, performative concert imagined as an abstract ghost hunt. Through sound, movement, and energetic intentions, the performance attempts to evoke past times and situations, the imperceptible, transition zones, and more-than-human existences. At every new location, the performance is site-specifically rearranged in relation to the specific historical context and musically recomposed with sonic elements recorded on-site. A harp, an oboe, and swinging microphones act as the protagonists of the performance, guiding us through a sensorial experience based on historical and contemporary games and methods for communicating with and summoning the supernatural.
